Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome.
It’s always awkward to write a first blog post. Things like this seem easier when the platform is already established. But I’m just plunging headfirst into the business of being a writer with a web presence, in anticipation of representation and publication (you got excited right there, didn’t you? Well at this time, sadly, I can promise neither published material nor even an offer of representation, though I’m taking steps to remedy that).
My recent acceptance to Clarion UCSD 2012 has spurred my web appearance, but I’ve been writing for a long time now. I’ve attended the Alpha SF/F/H Young Writers Workshop and The International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts, as a four-time finalist in the Dell Magazine Awards for Undergraduate Excellence in Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing (formerly the Asimov Award for…etc.).
Two pieces of my flash fiction have appeared in the 2011 and 2012 Alpha Fundraiser Anthology (and two of my illustrations as well!)
So that’s my story. Keep your eyes on this blog for more information, and probably a few smatterings of flash fiction, to whet your appetite for that as-yet unpublished longer stuff.
